Arrive with clean skin, skipping moisturizers and deodorants
Exfoliate 24-48 hours prior, not day of!
Come in clean, breathable and comfortable clothes. Avoid jeans, spandex, etc.
Take tylenol (if safe) 30-40 minutes prior to your appointment time.
Try to avoid nicotine, caffeine, marijuana and alcohol prior to your appointment as it can increase discomfort.
Express any concerns you have and ask all the questions you have!
Be sure not to have sun exposure, use certain skin products or shave prior to your waxing appointment.
Communicate with your waxer!
Be aware that redness is normal, pinpoint bleeding is a goal as we are removing the entire follicle, and hives are a common natural antihistamine reaction. Take Benadryl (if safe) if the hives do not go away within an hour or two.
Discuss your skin care products and ask for recommendations!

Learn how your prep and aftercare will effect your results, this is so important to keep your skin smooth, healthy and you comfortable!
Discuss your follow up timeline, this will differ based on where you are in your waxing skincare journey.
Avoid touching your freshly waxed skin, this includes intamacy for 24-48 hours.
Avoid sun exposure, excess heat including hot tubs and hot showers or baths for 24-48 hours.
Avoid going to the gym or doing any activities that will cause excess sweat.
Start exfoliating again in 48 hours, and using a proper skin moisturizer.
Do not pick at ingrowns, and if you notice any excess white bumps begin using an antibacterial wash right away. This can be a sign of folliculitis and if not treated or persistent you should contact your medical provider.
Try to wear breathable, clean clothing as much as possible the first few days
